pajama mama

It's pajama day here in the Mommyhood this morning. Lucy and I are still in our pjs, and I'm not planning on changing that anytime soon! Even Murry the dog is in his pjs. After a long week it's nice to have a laid back morning. Last Friday was surgery to remove the gallbladder that has caused me an intense amount of pain since my 7th month of pregnancy. So this week has been tiring with both chores and surgery recovery.

I am again highly impressed with the amazing ability of the human body to heal itself. Although it's been tiring, my body feels almost 100% better just one week post-op.

This weekend holds the busyness of gathering all the remaining list items for Thanksgiving and beginning my plan of attack to cook this meal. Since Hubs and I live so far away from the rest of our extended family, we have built our own Thanksgiving traditions here at home. We open our table every year to students and others in our community who are also too far away to share the holidays with their families. This year we will have nine around our table. Time to buy the big bird! Thanksgiving will once again be a memorable and special time.
